[M100] NiMH batteries and Tandy 200

I was reviewing the T200 service manual and noticed that it could be configured 
to recharge NiCd batteries running in the battery compartment by setting two 
jumpers.  Does anyone have any information (or thoughts) on recharging NiMH in 
the same way?
