Oh, interesting it was a SW development platform then. The one I have is a pre-production hardware version with some custom mods, i.e. power section rewired to support rechargeable cells.
I'll byte (pun): What is the PERIOD software? There was not at the show, though one may have been at an earlier show. Malcolm Rainey owns the units, part of a large lot from the estate of a Tandy Engineer (the one that wrote PERIOD to showcase the unit but Tandy ultimately decided not to use). Malcolm told me a bit about the unit (the engineer was given the machine, and the board was plugged into the ROM socket internally, he did his development, adjusting as new ROMs came, from when I remember), and the fact that the unit was returned to Tandy at the end of the project, but the engineer went to an internal Tandy "garage sale" later on and bought the unit back. The M100 was int eh box with the PCB, but when we pulled the M100 apart, it looked like a bog standard unit, so I am not convinced it's the same unit the engineer used during devleopment. Malcolm is the one to ask, I was just ribbing him for not dumping the ROMs already, and he tasked me to do so. Jim
