Your bbs won't respond to my connnection attempts. Perhaps my source IP is blacklisted.

I attempted ssh and telnet.

At the moment, I'm still writing specifications on what will be served on the board, if I do it. Ultimately, the board's primary user will be me  - though it would be  cool to have other users.

Interestingly, the screen limits of the devices in question provide design challenges, and yet it's freeing since most apps are meant for ansi. Doing everything in ascii will be fun.

One use case in mind will be news door. The server will fetch stories and I'll script the output to 40-col.
