The 74ls151 would work for this. Put the 5 joystick pins on pins 4,3,2,1,15, with pullups to 5V Put the C B A (9,10,11) on D0-D2 of the printer port Put Y (5) on one of the parport inputs Tie g (7) low Then, put a 3 bit value on the parport D0-D2 and read the input. Jim
