I saw your vid so I see what you mean about being careful. Glad that plastic is still relatively flexible. I have 3 keys needing refurb. whoever loved this 102 must've really used the 2, q and [ key quite a bit.

I'm currently researching mainstream materials I can use to replace the stuff inside that rubber dome. All my other keyboards are fully functional but they are all 100s.

The top of the switch body can be released with a 90 degree pick if you're
careful. Inside is just silver plated contacts and a silicone
dome with a carbon pad.

In this video I had a bad key that I was just going to swap the dome from a key
I could live without, but in the end both keys worked.

I've seen posts where people discuss prying open the alps switches and
refurbing the guts to restore functionality. The newly acquired 102 of
mine
has three flaky switches all on different circuits. I pulled all the caps
off to clean the pcb and, well, they have a plastic body compared to the
metal ones on the 100. The three keys are 2, q, and [. They don't feel
much
different compared to the other switches except one seems a bit easier to
      depress.

Is it safe to pry off the cap? I checked birt's channel and don't recall
seeing a vid where he did a refurb on the switches. Maybe I am wrong?

A link would be appreciated if such exists.

Or should I just spray the crap out of them with qd contact cleaner and
hope
      for the best?
