I'm guessing reporters wrote relatively short copy and started at the beginning and ended at the end, and uploaded it with minimal editing.
Like a typewriter which the m100 would have been an upgrade from. Just speculation... the laptop was specifically popular with reporters and maybe that kind of writing was different. I doubt they wrote it all out first, but they likely worked from notes. -- John.
