I uploaded a 600 dpi scan of the owners manual. Covers are color, the
rest grayscale.

filesize is kind of outrageous at 2.4g but the existing scans were too
blurry for things like the character set table.
(and I cared about that because I was debugging some assembly code by
just displaying the raw value of a byte as a single character with a
single STA, so the only way to know what the value was, was to be able
to clearly see which glyph it was)
I tried to make a 1-bit version or even just a higher contrast version
which would compress better, but everything I tried hurt the legibility
in some part of the book or other, and the whole point was to have a
good clear version as close to having the physical one as possible.
So I unthreaded the spiral binding and did each sheet separately
perfectly flat on a flatbed, with the long edge as the preferred
reference where the page isn't cut perfectly square. No contrast
enhancement, crop, or deskew.
...and then noticed a few specs on the scanner plate that appear on
every page...and the bottom edge got cropped just a hair. oh well!
