Running 'diff' shows no differences between the two '/platform' directories.
One more thing I've found out is that booting into single-user mode ('boot-s') does work. It seems booting into multi-user mode activates some services that it shouldn't. But it's weird since the original disk image does not have such problem. After some googling, I found following page from SUN which seems to be relevant to my problem: http://docs.sun.com/source/819-2544-21/prod-note-general.html#91216 It says I have to have access to ALOM console to fix it, and I wonder if it is possible in M5 (or legion)? p.s. By the way, ethernet device is attached to the PCI-E bus, right? Then by having no PCI controller, you mean the SPARC system in M5 has no support for network?
