I'm tempted to comment on your interest in 35 mm slides. Artists are still using them to document their work, but it's gradually being replaced by digital files on disks.
I wanted to show slides at an arts center recently, and they didn't even have a slide projector, they looked at me funny, like why don't you have this on disk? They did have the equipment to project digital images. I have bunches of my own slides, and recently found some interesting slides in the trash, from a hospital, of xrays and charts. I would like to play with them. This reminds me of artists I know who work with old-fashioned technologies, the old styles of film and video machines. The one guy collects all these old machines and repairs them and uses them in his art, the other guy plays with manipulating old 8 mm and 16 mm film... I can remember when video art was new and exciting, now I see similar things used in advertizing, it's depressing for me. Anyway, what do you do with your slides? - Tamara Wyndham --- [email protected] wrote: > Date: Sat, 2 Apr 2005 04:07:57 -0500 From: ben <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: exchange post greetings, recently joined this list. am interested in exchanging postal works on paper and 35mm slides. feel free to email me off list or send something to po box 1444 ny ny 10276 United empireS of America if this is off nature to this list, my apologies. b.saved __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
