hi Tamara and all, i should have clarified, am not so interested in slides composed of peoples art objects, documents of art - as much as slides taken the same way someone uses the camera to take pictures - snapshots, vacation photo's, found slides, and just photo's. pre-digital camera , though i have met many people who still shoot slide film for creative purpose or just like the quality of slides. over time i have found as well that people do not own a projector any more, or no motivation to repair the one they have ( understandable, it is not easy to find a repair-person in our trow away digital frame ), and tend to discard slides to thrift or vintage stores or moldy attics.
over the years i have been sent 100's of slides through the mail art community ( 2 documents were made, one is in progress ) , most all of them have been projected in club spaces, outdoor events, in/outdoor film festivals, and private gatherings. the slides i personally take tend to get cut up and re-composed, though i do not alter the slides i have been sent through the post. some of the first slides i received were from Lothar Trott ( hope i remember his name correctly ) - beautiful hand painted glass framed slides. thanks for asking, nice to hear from you b.saved po box 1444 ny ny 10276 On Apr 3, 2005, at 11:28 AM, Tamara Tornado wrote: > > Anyway, what do you do with your slides? > > - Tamara Wyndham > > www.seasonalbk.net [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] ------------------------ Yahoo!
