Hey all, it's too quiet. AM I not getting emails or all we all just busy????
--- well, actually I had nightmarish problems with my pc recently so I haven't checked this list for over a month, now I found 50+ messages to read and "where is everyone" seems to be the major question... I guess we are all too busy in our own hard intricate lives to care about weaving a really STRONG net, so this so called "Eternal Network" of mail art seems to me to be more and more a frail tissue with many holes, not a reliable net with which to go fishing... if I read or answer a newsgroup message I feel like whispering into the distance, if I mail an original piece I feel like I am talking with someone, so that's why I usually do not enter the discussion... moreover, It is not going to be an happy Xmas around here, my long time art collaborator Piermario Ciani was recently operated for cancer and he is not in a good shape to put it mildly, other mail art friends have recently deceased and the world situation (as always) does not encourage jolly pARTying round the Xmas tree (hearing Brian Wilson's new xmas album)... I recently send out approx. 100 copies of the SUN of FUN catalogue (instantly deleted then, since I printed 100) and the answers are coming in, thanks, next in line is the dvd-catalogue of last summer's "whatever happened to Luther Blissett?" project, contributors will receive it in January I think.
