Hi All
I finally opened my New York Times for Dec. 29 today, and found in
the art review section a piece on Ray Johnson which did an upbeat
piece on Ray, mentioning mail art in the process.

Happily this year is over and I wish everyone a joyous and luminous
New Year and I join in for prayers for peace for our ravaged and
chaotic and confused world. May love prevail over hate. May we,
mail artist, continue to strive to seek our creative centers and, by
thus doing so, help to push the balance of the world towards a
better place then it is right now. Each of us can define and act for
peace in our lives and, through mail art, we can spread joy and
laughter and connection with each other via our art.

I hope to get back to mail art soon because I see it as an honorable
and laudable activity that attempts to break down the barriers of
distance and place and helps connects us together, in hope, as one
to another, in our simple huanity. Something this planet greatly
needs. My truest self is when I do my mail art.

Good luck and life to all and may the wind be always at your back.

Dawn Amato
