I mostly agree with you Pati B.

I think that the call in question DOES say that ALL works will be exhibited,
but suggests that not all work will be documented online. This is a bit of a
grey area because it can be extremely time consuming to scan or photograph
every item, edit and adjust each image, then post it to a web site ---
especially if the exhibit has no staff besides the curator. I have seen some
shows get around this by posting photos of the whole exhibit instead of
individual works. Like most questions in life, this one is probably best
answered with, "it depends". And as mentioned in a previous post, there is
nothing compelling anyone to participate in a call that they don't like. For
example, I have decided not to participate in mail art calls that had
political or religious themes that did not appeal to me. I never questioned
the right of the organizers to put out the call though. It is not the
organizer's responsibility to put out only those calls that I happen to
agree with --- the choice of whether or not to participate is up to each
individual artist.

So Dragonfly, please keep the calls coming. I appreciate all your efforts to
keep us informed! Thank you.

But then , if you limit what can be posted here ... that is censorship, too.
I am not disagreeing with Lavona about the censorship idea .... I think a
mailart call should document, post, ALL works sent, not by selection ...
that is one of the basic premises of mailart, is it not???

Okey Dokey, I may cut out of here if it becomes a
commercial thingy.
I believe in Mail art, not donation things or
censoring. Sorry folks.
