Normally you should not need any drivers, all of the droids I have here
connect to the mac and windows if you enable mass storage, I wonder if
samsung added some nonstandard things to that phone, I know the original
galaxy phones were a real pain to get connected.

When you connect the phone, go to the notifications and see if there is an
option to turn on mass storage or something similar. If that doesn't work,
try enabling the USB debug mode in settings.
