I have had the same issue regularly ever since I got my phone which is a Samson Galaxy. I put out a message about it on the list ages ago but never got the issue resolved. As you say, turning it off and on again is the only fix I found so if anyone else has a faster solution now that would be good to know.

Hi, I have the Samsung Sidekick G4, and here is what I'm running into. I press home and that takes me to the 10 applications, within Mobile Accessibility. 1 is phone, 2 is contacts, 3 is SMS, 4 is alarms, and so on. When I arrow down to SMS with the track ball or whatever you call that thing, I know that I'm on SMS because I arrow up & back down, just to make sure. Then, I press the center of the track pad, in order to select SMS. However, sometimes, it goes into the previous menu, which is Contacts! Has anyone ever seen this? I'm wondering why this might be happening! I try it several times, and it does the same every time. The only times I can get the phone to function the way it is supposed to is to turn it off & turn it back on again!
