Perhaps try to find a way to reboot the phone without pulling the battery? If
you shut it down properly, and then turn it back on, I believe that should
effect a normal reboot.
Remember that these phones are little computers--your desktop does not like
having its power pulled in the middle of running, and neither do smartphones.
Whatever you mean by MA "messing up", are you sure it can't be solved by a
normal power cycle?
Is there no way to shutdown your phone without relying on speech?
That does not answer the question you asked, unfortunately, but maybe it can
prevent this situation.

I am using MA with my ATT HTTC Status.
Any time MA messes up on me so that there is no speech I take out the
battery. Then reboot the phone.
When the phone boots up MA begins to repeat over and over that I need to
register MA.
MA has already been registered.
I do not have a data plan on my phone. Only texting and phone service.
Any suggestions?
