try pressing the home button, if a list of choices appears, one of them being mobile accessibility, select that, you may place a checkmark on use as default if you want the mobile accessibility to come up every time. if not, and you have speech, press the menu button and the apps list will appear, choose settings, accessibility and check both accessibility and mobile accessibility and you will have speech everywhere. if you have speech, press the menu button, choose settings, applications, manage applications, either have your sighted friend tap all applications, tap the app labeled home or samsung touchwiz, when open arrow to clear default, or have your sighted friend do this, and then press home, a list of available home screens will appear, choose use as system default and then choose mobile accessibility and you are in business.

Thanks! How do you go about doing this? If you wouldn't mind. I need step by step instructions for the next sighted person I see. Plus I'm new to this phone! Thanks again! *smiles*

Hello, Sunni:

I made the same mistake. And I had to reset my phone to get to read the
option.

See if you are able to get your sighted friend, to release the home screen settings. Or, see if they see an option to make mobile accessibility as your
home screen.
Good luck.

Subject: [MA] Home Screen:

I just purcheased the Samsong Transform Ultra for Boost Mobile. I got some one sighted to install the accessibility software on it! *grin* My problem
is that I somehow got the phone stuck on the home-screen and can't access
anything except home. I can't go to eye-free-shell or Mobile accessibility. All it says is home right-shortcuts and Left-shortcuts. I tried taking the
battery out, but it did no good. I am wondering if I forgot to tell the
sighted person to check boxes or what! Can you give me any suggestions? I
have another sighted person coming around Tuesday! *grin*
Thanks in advance for any help you can give me! *smiles*
