Namo Buddhaya, Berangkat dari pengalaman saya mengunjungi berbagai komunitas Buddhis di pedalaman di pulau Jawa, terutama di Jawa tengah. Maka saya menghimbau rekan-rekan mahasiswa Buddhis yang akan melakukan KKN di desa-desa bisa mempertimbangkan untuk melaksanakan kegiatan KKN di desa-desa mayoritas Buddhis tersebut. Hal ini saya anggap perlu mengingat komunitas Buddhis di pedalaman terpencil (terutama di gunung-gunung) cukup besar, tetapi sayang kurang tersentuh dan kurang terbina, sehingga menurut penjelasan dari tokoh masyarakat setempat, jumlahnya umat Buddha kian menyusut dari tahun ke tahun.
Komunitas umat Buddha yang selama ini cukup dikenal dan dijadikan sasaran KKN adalah komunitas Buddhis di daerah Kaloran, Temanggung. Padahal masih banyak lagi komunitas lainnya yang cukup besar seperti di daerah Pati, Jepara, Rembang, Purwodadi, Banyumas, Purwokerto, Kebumen dan Cilacap, Blitar, Banyuwangi, Lombok dan masih banyak tempat lainnya.
