Rabu, 4 Maret 2009 | 12:53 WIB JAKARTA, RABU — Warga Jakarta sudah sepatutnya waspada dan berhati-hati menyusul penemuan Yayasan Lembaga Konsumen (YLKI) yang terbaru. Bagaimana tidak? Makanan mengandung melamin yang sempat mencuat dan menjadi isu internasional kini ditemukan lagi di Jakarta. Salah satu merek yang cukup terkenal yang dinyatakan mengandung bahan berbaya ini adalah Nestle Bear Brand Sterilized Low Fat Milk atau masyarakat lebih mengenalnya dengan sebutan susu beruang. Nestle Bear Brand Sterilized Low Fat Milk ini merupakan produksi F&N Dairies Thailand. Tidak itu saja, susu beruang merupakan salah satu dari 10 temuan terbaru YLKI yang dirilis kepada publik pada Rabu (4/3). Sembilan produk makanan lain yang mengandung melamin adalah Kino Bear cokelat krispi, Yake Assorted Candies permen cokelat berbentuk panjang, F & N susu kental manis, Tirol Choco Mix permen, Dutch Mill yoghurt, Pura Low Fat UHT Milk Beverage, Crown Lonk biskuit rasa cokelat, Fan Fun biskuit, dan Yake Assorted Candies permen cokelat berbentuk lonjong lentur. Produk-produk tersebut, menurut Huzna, didapatkan di beberapa tempat yang kerap disebut sebagai pintu masuk barang-barang impor. Lokasi tersebut adalah supermarket dan toko di Cempaka Mas, Mangga Dua, dan Kelapa Gading. "Penyelidikan terhadap produk tersebut merupakan tanggapan dari pertanyaan masyarakat," kata Ketua YLKI Huzna Zahir di Jakarta. Atas dasar itulah, kata Huzna, YLKI bekerja sama dengan Laboratorium Afiliasi Departemen Kimia FMIPA Universitas Indonesia (LADK-FMIPA-UI) melakukan mengujian terhadap 28 sampel merek. "Dalam penelitian kami menggunakan metode high performance liquid chromatography," ungkap Direktur LADK-FMIPA-UI Sunardi pada kesempatan yang sama. Metode dengan UV detektor ini memungkinkan pemisahan yang lebih baik dari komponen-komponen padat dalam suatu campuran.
