One rule of thumb I always follow is do not by any means compair the two in usability. They both will have there pros and cons. I use both platforms but the mac does have a slightly higher lerning curve as you *must* think outside the box for some things and use the terminal for some things which I don't mine. I would go to my apple store nd play wiht a machine for a while to see if you like it or not and make your decissions from there.
