My nephew downloaded a video game to my father's Mac and traces
of the game won't quite go away. The Mac is an older system
running Tiger but voiceover does work so I thought I might have
a go at ridding the system of the game. My father recently took
the system to a local shop and they removed the game but video
from it still shows up at odd times which makes me think that
the download probably dropped in a cooky or a flash plugin so it
may still be reconstructing itself or re-installing itself based
on some application that still knows about the game.

While looking at an article about safari with Lion, I
wondered if Tiger's version of safari can let you also look at
what has recently been installed on the system. Somewhere there
is enough of that game to at least fill a screen full of its
video.

I am not exactly sure what computer shop my father took
the Mac to, and I am sure they made a reasonable effort to fix
the problem, but they obviously didn't remove all traces of it.

I will also see if he has cleared his web cache. It
could be that simple.

Any other ideas as to what to look for? I just heard
about all this last night when my father ate dinner with us so I
haven't had any chance to dig in to it yet. We know when the
game got downloaded so any related files whose time stamp is
close to that time probably need a good look.

        Thanks for any good suggestions.
