Lynne:
I guess the issue is just what exactly does Apple mean by limited warranty
and whether or not the Apple Care plan is also limited warranty.
Thanks.

Hello Jim
Hopefully I can respond to this without anybody taking me out of context.
:)
You receive 90 days of complimentary support from Apple which includes
basic installation and setup, plus 1 years' limited warranty on your
hardware.
It is my understanding that AppleCare gives you access to additional
resources; but what I found odd was that they say that your AppleCare plan
ends 3 years from the day you bought the machine. So to me, that only
means they give you 2 years of extended cover, not 3. However, I don't
dispute what others have said about this; in as much as it has allowed
them to receive replacement hardware so it seems like a worthwhile
expenditure.

Am I right in sayint that there is no reason to hurry with a decision as
to whether or not I should purchase Apple Care? I just received my
hardware today.
