Hi Desi and Others,

A lot of questions come up about iTunes, so I'll list some places you can find
answers. First, I'll just mention that iTunes works as a database program, so
when you add and delete tracks, you should always do this through the iTunes
program, as Marcy explained. It's like working with phone numbers or the post
office -- the record for where to find a track or whether it's in your library
depends on the directory that's maintained by iTunes, and not simply whether
the track is somewhere on your computer. If you move your track to a different
location or delete it without telling iTunes, all it knows is that there's a
broken link. At best it can offer to search through you Music library location
to try to find it, but that's very inefficient.

For a good description of the layout of iTunes (and many other Mac apps) for
VoiceOver, check Tim Kilburn's VoiceOver web pages. Here's the link to the one
for iTunes 10 (under Snow Leopard):

For general information on how iTunes works, the best source of information are
the iLounge tutorials. There are some recent updates for iTunes 10.4, but I'll
point to general articles.

The web site is much easier to navigate with the mobile version of the site,
because there are many graphics and ads. Here is the link to the list of
tutorial articles and their links, including the guide to copying content to
your iPod:

For those who want to start with "The Beginner's Guide to iTunes". Here's the
link to the mobile version of the article:
• The Beginner’s Guide to iTunes by Jesse David Hollington (November 23, 2009):
http://www.ilounge.com/index.php/mobile/articles/the-beginners-guide-to-itunes/

That guide contains links to many of the other guides to using iTunes and your
device. The mobile version of
• Copy Content from your iPod to your Computer -- The Definitive Guide (May 14,
2008) is at:

HTH. Cheers,

Esther
