I don't think you'll have to worry about the battery overcharging. New machines, nowadays, are designed to shut off the chargers automatically, once the batter is fully charged. Therefore, it's not going to affect the battery by overcharging; however, some manufacturers recommend that the units be unplugged and the batteries are worked till they are discharged and then recharge them again.

Hi,

On Monday, I bought an iPod Touch 4th generation. I thought I got it properly set up yesterday, but things were a little chaotic around here while I was doing it, and I think maybe I forgot to press an apply button or something, because I wanted my contacts to be synced from my iMac, but there doesn't seem to be anything in my contacts on my Touch now. Where exactly do I go to update my preferences for what I want to be synced? Will I find these settings under general iTunes preferences? Also, can I overcharge my iPod's battery by leaving it plugged into my computer while I'm working? Any help would be most appreciated! Thanks!

Desi
