Hi Eric,

Yeah, mine is an MBP, with the metal case. According to that document Bryan J
supplied it should be able to address 8GB (assuming that I can find a
screwdriver). I know that doesn't exactly help you except that I think I
recall that your model can address over 4GB anyway.

Best regards.
Geoff

today (Sunday). Very strange, but as long as it's here I was going to try and
install it.

ten bits (some of which are very small), but so far none of them appear to be
taking hold of the screw. Are the screws in the MBP Philips head type or are
they conventional? Can anyone advise a type of driver that would crack this
beast open? Anyone have one I can borrow :).

  Dear Geoff,

I am so impressed that you are taking on this project! I will be following
your progress very carefully. Please keep track of what you are doing as I
hope to follow in your brave footsteps.
One point of clarification do you have a mac book Pro? I thought you had a
white case Mac Book.

I read somewhere when looking at the ram on a site that they also sold a
special screwdriver for the Mac book. Someone on this list will give us
clearer directions but I think you will need that.
I'm pretty sure I read this on the Crucial site you mentioned.

Don't you love those quick deliveries? I think sometimes I click purchase on
Amazon and then I hear a knock on my door, get up and thank the UPS guy for my
package! It really feels that fast sometimes!
