Dear list
I was confused by the apparent Voiceover blocking of Safari shortcuts but have
sorted out a few workarounds. These will be obvious for experience voiceover
users of Safari but I offer it here in case there are any other inexperienced
users like me.

Pressing Home or end keys will not move Voiceover to the start or end of the
web page as it apparently does for sighted users of Safari.
However the workaround is one of 2 methods.
1. Press VO B to start reading from the beginning of the page and then
interrupt reading. This will locate you near the beginning of the page if you
need to navigate from there.
The second option is to use the Item Chooser. Although Home and End will not
work with Voiceover in Safari they will work as shortcut keys with the item
chooser to jump you to the top or bottom of the item chooser list.
Alternatively type HT to jump to the HTML content item to avoid landing on the
toolbar..

Sorry if this is all obvious but for a newbie like me it may prove useful.
Regards
David Griffith me
