Why not use a shared itunes library over the network, then just plug your stereo into the headphone jack of your mac. That would allow you to play anything on itunes through your stereo, and you'd still have econtrol over everything. There's no device required, only a patch cable to go from your earphone output to your stereo's rca input jacks. A cable that should cost only a few dollars at any electronics store/department.
