Hi Donal and all,
I'd be interested in hearing more about this workaround, and what you mean by 
Apple not wanting developers to use it. Is it really Apple's fault that 
third-party developers aren't making their status menus accessible? I'm not 
trying to play devil's advocate here, just interested in understanding exactly 
what's going on and what can be done about it.
