I was at the local Sight Village exhibition.today. Disappointed that Rnib
weren't there selling their bank note identifier. I bought the LookTell app
when I.got home for my IPhone 4. Much cheaper and it works well with Gbp notes.
You do need a bit of practice in keeping the IPhone in a parallel plane and
the bank note straight. Not sure how practical in a shop but definitely
worthwhile for sorting notes at home. I asked someone with sight and there are
no buttons or icons for settings nor anything in the main IPhone settings.
Although the app recognises fairly quickly, I find speed improves
significantly with VoiceOver turned off as the app is self-voicing.
Hth.
Dennis.
