One of the nice things Iphones, Ipads, Ipod touchs etc offer the hearing
impaired is the "Mono" mode, everything comes out in mono if you have
headphones connected etc and this can be extremely handy.
This is my opinion but I think if you're talking of the Iphone in terms
of a "Phone" - that is to say a device where you make and receive
telephone calls - then you may find other devices out there in the
market place which offer hearing impaired people a little more than the
Iphone does.

Please can I ask, what can the iPhone offer for hearing impaired
people? I know VoiceOver for example supports a variety of bluetooth
Braille displays, but how about things like audio quality and volume?
What about the vibration. Thanks! I am hearing impaired myself and I
manage the iPod Touch 4G very well with speech only. But of course
your mileages may vary.
