Thank you for bringing this to our attention, I've always thought the volume of the 3GS to be very poor compared to other phones I use here, I'll be getting an Iphone 4 in the next few days so I'll be interested to hear the difference.

Of course, I'm referring to volume as used when making and receuvubg cakks,''

Hi Chris.

there is also support for Mono Audio on the iPhone. I personally find the
iPhone 4 and more than likely the iPhone 4S's speaker a bit louder than the
iPhone 3GS's speaker.
The 3GS's speaker distorts when it is at full volume.
Apart from what you said about the braille displays, etc, I can't think of
anything else.
Cheers.
Lewis :)

Please can I ask, what can the iPhone offer for hearing impaired people? I know
VoiceOver for example supports a variety of bluetooth Braille displays, but how
about things like audio quality and volume? What about the vibration. Thanks! I
am hearing impaired myself and I manage the iPod Touch 4G very well with speech
only. But of course your mileages may vary.
