Hello Jonathan

I disagree with one of your comments and, if I may, I'll explain why. But
naturally this "disagreement" is merely in the form of constructive and
friendly discussion. I value your views highly as I do with every single other
member of this group.

the fact it is better designed, works more effectivly and
is free that is!

That's the part I disagree with. VO, in respect of web browsing in particular,
is nothing whatsoever like the rest. In fact, it's very different.

I know that in JFW there's supposedly a "WYSIWYG" interface; but natively
VoiceOver is the only one I have ever seen that's totally that way.

To the best of my knowledge, there isn't another screen-reader on Mss platform
that conforms to the object-orientated standards to which VoiceOver does. Web
content looks astonishingly different under OSX to how I have ever seen it
under Windows with an accessibility tool installed.

I don't want to get into the Windows discussion here, and I ask people please
not to do so. But VO shows the visually impaired user an almost true
representation of web content the way that we who are so fortunate enough to
have vision would see it also.

Just one observation for whatever it may be worth.
