Well, the iPod 4, which is what I had, you can add or remove the G if you
wish, but there is an iPod 4, because I had one.
It has a 1.7 mega pixel camera, which can scan barcodes, but not very
reliably.

Yes, the IPhone 4 has a 5meg pixel camber with flash and the iphone4s has a
8 meg pixel camera with a brighter flash and bigger lens so the iphone4s
will do much better in this. Now you said you traded in your iPod for a
iphone4g and there is not a iphone4g! there is a iphone3g which does not
have Vo on it and the iphone3gs and the iphone4 and the iphone4s which all
have Vo on them. So don't know which one you mint to say! But no iphone4g!

Hi Lyn,
I sold my iPod 4G, shortly after I got it, so I could buy an iPhone 4G. It
did not work well with the iPod unless I had it under perfect scanning
conditions, i.e., light and an easy to locate barcode.
I use it on my iPhone, and it works well on that, but if the light is not
good, it too sometimes has trouble.
I think that the new iPhone with the 8MP camera will be better for this.
But I don't regret buying it for the iPhone.
I installed it onto both products for the same price, as iTunes let me sync
my apps onto both products.
You can get printer templates with barcodes that are not assigned to
anything, and you print them onto labels, and you can stick them onto
whatever you want and then you assign a recording of its description with
Digit Eyes.

Glen,

Can you please tell me more about digitize, how does this work, what kind of
info do you get from scanning the barcode other than the name of the
product? I would be interested in it but I'd love to have some feedback
from users before investing money in the app. I have an Iphone 4 and an
Ipod touch 4th generation, how well would it work on those devices?

Thanks a lot for any help in this matter, really appreciate it.
