Hi Will, I could be wrong about this, but I think you need to be plugged directly to the Mac with your USB cable, as the download comes from iTunes. I do not think that the Wi-Fi sync capabilities of IOS 5+ do not extend to the downloading of content that is not already in your iTunes Library.
