Hello Christo, MS Word Docs will automatically open in the TextEdit app on your Mac. Or if you get Pages or another wordprocessing program such as Nisus Writer Pro, or the free Bean, you can choose to open these files in that app instead, or change things to make one of these the default app. You should have no problems just reading the documents. If you want to read attached documents in Mail, you can use the Command-Y shortcut to QuickLook an attachment. This is an easy way to read through an attachment that can be used to preview a document or sound file, although it can also be used to read or listen through the entire attachment. With QuickLook mode you don't get the range of navigation controls you have when you save and open a document with an application -- such as the ability to search for or go to specific sections -- but it's fine for just reading through. Press Escape if you want to leave this mode -- for example, after previewing the beginning of an attached document.
