Hi Bryan, Either Command-Click or Command-Option-Click when you're focused on a link should open the link in a new Safari window. Which one you use depends on your Safari preferences settings for tabs. If you have the pop up menu selection for "Open pages in tabs instead of windows" set to "Never", and the box for "Command-Click opens a link in a new tab" unchecked, then Command-Click will open the link in a new window. Otherwise, use Command-Option-Click to open the link in a new window and Command-Click to open in a new tab. The various combination shortcuts are listed on the Tab pane of your Safari preferences. If, for some reason, you want to open the link in a new tab or window but not make the new tab or window active, add a "Shift" to the keyboard shortcut combination.
I'm still running Safari 5.05 under Snow Leopard, but I assume you can still press Command+comma and check your tab preferences to find out the appropriate answer if the above does not work for you.
