Hi Eric, 

I can suggest two things;

1. When you remove your VoiceOver  permissions, don't reimport them, simply 
recreate them from scratch.
2. Have you tried running the Apple Hardware Test? You'll need sighted help for 
this though. O and have you tried deleting the trash in Safe Mode? I am not 
sure if this is possible though.
