Hello Eric:

I have some of the same problems with trash. If I go to trash knowing nothing
is in there, finder becomes locked or better, the computer freezes.

I can't even force quit so have to reboot and eventually the finder comes back
to life.

Of course I delete the com.apple.finder.plist but this shouldn't happen. I
never experienced this in SL.

I never tried to change views, I like column view but I'll try to change views
to see what happens.

I guess what I'm saying, you aren't alone and believe it's a Lion bug.

Running an early iMac 2008 with 4GB of ram.

Take care and keep us posted.

John
