Hi John, I'm doing this on a clean install of Lion from about a week ago, and the Command-Option-L shortcut for viewing the Downloads window in Safari only works for me if I have the Safari toolbar showing. Otherwise, even though VoiceOver says "Show Downloads" when I press Command-Option-L in Safari, it doesn't actually show me the downloads window.
I'm used to hiding my toolbar, which is a habit so that the extra elements don't show up when I use item chooser menu. This is not a big thing, because there aren't that many of them, but it's a habit of mine, since I can still use Command-Option-F to go to the Google search field or Command-L to move to the address bar, and the toolbar will open up for the operation and then close again. But what I found is that: 1) Command-Option-L only works if my Safari toolbar is showing -- otherwise there's no downloads window, even if it is announced 2) Even if the toolbar is showing, Command-Option-L didn't work for me until after the first time I navigated to the Downloads button and pressed it. Again, this is the experience from a recent clean install. HTH. Cheers, Esther On Feb 15, 2012, at 10:10 AM, John Panarese wrote: > It wasn't working initially.
