Ok, wait until this Braille Touch comes out. You will be supposedly able
to type as if it was a Braille machine or keyboard with Braille input.

As I read the complex gestures, I find myself wondering, why not just touch
the dots you want, and the space bar at the bottom would let the app know
that you are done with the character.
I don't wish to learn a new way of typing Braille.

Ar, I don't think you get the idea. My advice would be to first make the
keyboard appear with a single tap anywhere on the screen. Then do a
flick up to open the menu. Then double tap help. The second topic gives
a list of all supported Braille characters, with their equivalent
gesture patterns.

Yeah, normally it's 2 4, and the 2 is in the middle on the left, and 4 is
on
the top right.
But whatever dots I found to give me an I, they seemed to be in strange
place.
Pressing dots 2 4, makes it say the letter E.

Actually it's dots 4, 2.

The iPhone app I bought is called:
Type In Braille.
and the dots aren't where they should be on a 6-dot cell.
I teach Braille, but I haven't figured this one out.
1 2 3 does an L, but I have to touch dots 6 5 to get an I.
It wasn't what I was expecting for sure.
I complained to the maker, but never was offered my money back.

No. Dots 1 2 3 on the left, 4 5 6 on the right.

Is this the app with the dots 1 3& 5 on the left side?
I wasted my money with that one.

Interesting, I can't master the typing in braille app properly although
do
like the luck of it.
