Yep, you're speculating there, its not that loud <smile>, the idea of the amp 
is for those headphones which aren't designed for use with an IOS device.

For example take a pair of good quality hi-fi headphones, as a rule they're not 
sensitive given the fact the hi-fi amps usually have a lot of grunt when it 
comes to the headphone output whereas IOS devices do not.
