I have had no problems signing into the app store when restoring from the recovery partition. Both times I was connected to a wifi network. To bring up the window chooser you need to hold down the fn key, and the vo keys along with f2 and you need to press this combination twice. You need to use the fn key since the function keys are set to hardware functions instead of software. Hope this helps someone. As I said, I;ve done this on 2 different machines and have had no problem signing into the app store. ---------- Earle
