Hi all. I have found some articles on this topic. But I wanted to reach out to you all to get your opinions and tips on remapping keys or assigning keys to specific tasks on the Mac.
1. I am finding that Menus by default do not have hot keys. So if you want to open the view menu in finder. You have to open the menu and then either type in vi or navigate across to it. I have seen an article that discusses creating shortcuts to activate the menu. As yet, I have not tested this. So has anyone? 2. Has anyone successfully remapped their right option key to be a capslock and change the caps lock key to a right control? I want to do this for Windows virtualisation. In Windows then I would remap the right control to Capslock so I can use it with the screen reader under Windows. If you have, do you have step by step instructions or had issues? 3. The preferences do not let you modify the right option or command keys to be recognised as something else like you can do with the left modifiers. Anyone know how to do this?
