Hi! I don't have the Airport Extreme though I do have the Extremes bigger Brother, the Time Capsule.
Both devices work with "Airport Utility", this is found under the utilities folder under the applications folder. There's not much to installing the Extreme really, plug the Extreme into the mains outlet and leave it for a minute or 2 whilst it boots. Then run the Airport utility on your computer. The Airport utility will then display a table with all the compatible Airport devices it can find, your Extreme should be one of them. >From here you can configure your Extreme to how you want it. Another note before I forget, its possible that your Extreme may not show up in the Airport Utility airport devices list, if this happens then plug a LAN cable into the LAN port on your computer and the other end into the WAN port on your Extreme, WAN port is the one closest to the mains socket and the USB port.
