Hi Gordon, You asked: Does anybody know of any Mac software to add copy protection to a DVD? To explain a little more clearly. I'm writing some data files to a DVD for a client and he's asked that they be copy protected so that his employees cannot simply copy the disk and, therefore, distribute the data.
I don't think there's any way to insert copy protection on an individual DVD basis. The DVDs produced with copy protection are generated on production line systems geared to turn out 500 or more DVDs at a time, with special licensing. On individual DVDs the only additions that are made are to insert watermarks or alert messages that will appear in copies, so that users playing the DVD will know that this is not the original material. It doesn't prevent people from accessing the disc. Sorry not to have a better answer on this.
