Hmm. i thought you could clone the ccc back up over. I did it with out trouble and it worked, my recovery drive got destroyed in the process which should not have happened as it backs that up as well, but all in all it only took about 2 or so hours.
If in doubt though use the migration assistant. it's a lot faster in my opinion. and a lot smoother. I have a ccc back up, but I will probably never restore from that again.
