One way of using the help center is to simply browse through it from the top
level (help center home page) on down without searching. Just follow the
links for topics that interest you. That'll get you aquainted with things
and then searching won't seem so wierd or scarry.
good luck

Thanks Phil, I am afraid of the help center for some reason. It seems big
and scary. I think because I had such awful experiences with the MS help
center. They're probably not the ame. I'm just afraid that no matter what
I type, I will not get what I'm looking for.

What are spring-loaded folders. I have long wondered this and haven't
found an answer. Also, I haven't seen anyone else post this, but since
upgrading to ML, I cannot see all of my folders and files if I'm looking
across the network. For example, I have a huge music folder on one of my
Macs and a huge books folder on the other. On the Mac where the folder
actually exists, I can see its full contents, but on one Mac looking at
the other, I can only see the first 494 items. I have looked in the
finder preferences and the system preferences, but if there's something
I'm supposed to see there, I'm missing it.
