I am quite new to the Mac and would like to ask, exactly how is the "click"
performed? I mean, you say route the mouse to VO, turn off VO and then do an
option click, but you don't say how to perform the click. Are you using an
actual mouse, a trackpad? I don't have a mouse, just a trackpad, so how
exactly would I do the "click"?
Thank you in advance for being exact in your answer.

Thanks Sarah that was the method I knew, but like William in a subsequent
post I've found it not entirely reliable. I'll file a bug report /feature
request with Apple about it.

Hello. you need to after you route to the button using vo cmd f5. then
turn off vo and then option click the button and start vo. You should now
be presented with said dialogue.
Hope that helps.

Hi all,
I need to perform an "option click" on the "restore iPhone" button in
iTunes. Unless my memory is gone, this brings up a dialog which allows
me to open an update file for IOS. Anyways, how does one achieve this
with voiceover? Can't for the life of me remember.
