Hi Chris -- I don't have an answer, sorry, but just thought I'd let you know I've been having the same issue for the past several days on my 4S running IOS6, and a quick search of the web this morning turned up several threads dedicated to the same issue that seems to have started for some folks after upgrading to IOS6.
