Hi Paul,

In addition to the sources you and Anne mentioned, I suggest taking a look at
Google's offering, which currently goes by the odd name of "Google Play
Books." Google's IOS App was recently updated with a number of improvements
that make it relatively VO friendly. Google claims to offer over 4 million
titles, but not all of them are offered in an accessible format. When browsing
the Google Play Bookstore, one must check to make sure the desired book is
available as "flowing text," as opposed to PDF/Scanned Pages. Once a book has
been added to the User's bookshelf, it can be read by VO on an IOS device or by
ChromeVox in the Chrome web browser on Mac and other platforms. In the IOS App,
select the "read as flowing text" option setting and you can then read
page-by-page and navigate by the standard levels available from the rotor..
Unfortunately, it doesn't seem possible to avoid manual page turning at this
time.

For students searching for accessible e-textbooks and audio textbooks in the
US, I strongly recommend initiating a search from the "Accessible Textbook
Finder" link on the accesstext.org site. Not sure if the site serves Users
outside of the US. It searches a number of sources and also provides
information about getting hold of an accessible "publisher's file" directly
from the publisher if no other sources offer the title.

HTH,
Bryan
